Obama arrived here today as part of his weeklong swing through Asia, the heart of which will be nearly three days in China. Later today in Shanghai, China's commercial capital, Obama is scheduled to take questions from students in a town-hall-style meeting that is expected to be broadcast live in the city and on the White House website.

The state-run International Herald Leader newspaper teamed up with online discussion forum Tianya Club and collected more than 3,000 questions for the president from netizens over the last month. The submissions touched upon such diverse topics as America's ability to repay its debt and the president's love for basketball.

At the same time, some Chinese bloggers are waging a "Tear Down This Firewall" campaign, hoping that the president will address the issue of freedom of speech on the Internet.

"To what degree he can help Chinese netizens break down the 'Great Firewall of China' is still uncertain," blogger Zhang Ping said. "I feel that some Chinese netizens have set their hopes too high and am afraid that they'll be disappointed."

For many business owners, Obama's arrival has been a source of profit. Shirts, bags and shoes carrying the president's image have popped up like wildflowers at street stalls and small shops.

Madame Tussauds wax museum in Shanghai replaced the statue of Chinese track superstar Liu Xiang in its lobby with an Obama wax figure Friday, attracting flocks of people taking turns at a photograph.

As a Chinese student who studied in America. When I watching this news, I felt a little bit exciting. Because both these two countries can influnce my life now. Iran may call for a nuclear fuel swap, Iranian TV reports

Reporting from Doha, Qatar - A state-owned Iranian television station quoted unnamed diplomats Sunday as saying Iran, in a possible compromise to a U.N.-backed proposal, is willing to send about 1,800 pounds of its enriched uranium abroad to be exchanged for fuel for a medical reactor. This idea was first comes from Obama's administration. It's had called for Iran to send abroad about 2,600 pounds, or 70% of its nuclear material supply。

by year's end, temporarily lowering Iran's capacity to build a nuclear bomb and creating the diplomatic breathing room for a possible broader deal. Although Iran maintains that its nuclear development program is for civilian purposes only, Western nations believe the Islamic Republic is seeking to build nuclear weapons.

Diplomats looking for a way out of a years-long impasse over the nuclear program weeks ago proposed a deal in which Iran would give up the bulk of its refined uranium to be further refined in Russia and France for the Tehran medical reactor.

Some Iranian officials said they did not trust Russia and France to follow through on the offer to enrich the fissile material for use in the medical reactor.

On Saturday, the head of the Iranian parliament's national security and foreign affairs committee said Iran would refuse to send any of its low-enriched uranium abroad. But diplomats and arms-control authorities have yet to give up on the proposal.

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov paid a surprise visit to Tehran on Sunday to meet with Iran's chief nuclear negotiator, Saeed Jalili. Russian President Dmitry Medvedev told the German weekly Der Spiegel that Moscow may back further sanctions if ongoing negotiations fail. French officials say Washington has asked European allies to hold off until the end of the year before raising the possibility of new sanctions on Iran.
In the modern days, the nuclear resources had already became a very important part of the resources system. No matter it's dangerous or not, it was exactly a better way for our human beings to live in this planet. And in my opinion, president Obama made a good idea. They think Iraqi government failed at protecting their people. I think U.S should not withdraw without helping Iraq build their own military strong enough to protect their government and people. This bloody attack is the best evidence. The tiger shark bit a sufer

The news comes from CNN. A 54-year-old man surfing at an area of Kalama Beach Park known as "Kalama Bowls" when a shark bit him in the upper right thigh and lower part of the ankle, officials said.

The shark also took a chunk out of the man's surfboard, officials said.
Maui County police, paramedics and Ocean Safety personnel all responded to the attack.
Paramedics treated the man and took him to Maui Memorial Medical Center, according to county officials. He was treated and released, officials said.
Earlier, Department of Land and Natural Resource officials ruled out that it was a tiger shark and thought it was some type of reef shark -- possibly a sand bar, black tip, white tip -- that is 6 feet to 8 feet in length because of witness accounts. However, after taking a closer look at the victim' s injury, they determined that it was a tiger shark.
From this news, I began to notice the shark again. For many years, people like me was almost frogot there is a dangerious animal in the ocean. The shark seems disappeared. But according to this news, I got to know that we have to take care when we swimming in the summer. The offical said that the tiger shark like to bit people.
